The Gatsby Benchmarks

Back to Careers

Secondary Schools prepare students for future success in education, employment or training.  We use the Gatsby Benchmarks, link below, to assess all aspects of our careers “offer” to our students. This ranges from assessing the careers education in school, through to experiences of workplaces. Click the link, should you wish to find out more: Good Career Guidance | Education | Gatsby

Our most recent assessment took place in March 2026, and our score reflected the more rigorous nature of the recently adapted benchmark criteria.  We will update this page in the summer of 2026 when we carry out our end of year Gatsby Benchmark Assessment with support from EMMCA (East Midlands Combined County Authority), who help us to shape our careers programme at Granville Academy.  We will update this page following our 2025/26 end of year Gatsby review.
